Our Commitment to Accessibility

Wiseplan is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.

This accessibility statement applies to Wiseplan at wiseplan.appopens in new tab.

Standards Compliance

Wiseplan aims to conform to the following accessibility standards:

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1: Level AA compliance

Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA): semantic markup for screen readers

Government Digital Service (GDS) patterns: accessible form design and navigation

Accessibility Features

Wiseplan includes the following accessibility features:

Screen reader support: Full compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver through proper semantic HTML and ARIA labels

Keyboard navigation: All functionality is accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse. Tab order is logical and intuitive.

Focus indicators: Clear visual focus indicators for keyboard navigation (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)

Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (at least 4.5:1 for normal text)

Resizable text: Text size can be adjusted up to 200% without loss of functionality or layout breaking

Language declaration: Page language is properly declared for assistive technologies

Form labels and error handling: All form fields have associated labels and clear error messages

Responsive design: Accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

Known Accessibility Limitations

We are continuously working to improve accessibility. Where we have identified barriers, we are implementing solutions:

Complex data tables: Some financial data tables may require additional explanation for screen reader users. Consider using the download/export feature for use with accessible spreadsheet applications.

File uploads: File upload functionality may require additional testing with assistive technologies. Contact us if you experience issues.

Accessibility Testing

Wiseplan is regularly tested for accessibility using:

Automated testing tools (Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse)

Manual testing with keyboard navigation

Testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
